This shortfilm was a love letter to film which so greatly informs my philosophy and aspirations as a designer and artist. Cinema, particular cell animated and East Asian directed, were some of my earliest introductions to how uniquely powerful sound, movement, and color are in conveying emotions and narratives. There are very few other mediums, I argue, that are able to capture the intimate, personal, human experience in such depth. Many of the clips below were inspired by my own day to day encounters or by films such Our Little Sister, Little Forest, The Morning Forest, One Million Yen Girl, and all of Studio Ghibli's works.

Backgrounds were painted in Procreate, and a combination of Procreate and Roughanimtor was used to animate them. They were composited using Davinci Revolve.
